Focused Action amidst Horrific Headlines
Happy Earth Month, my friend!
Today I am writing with a solemn yet hopeful heart, and offering a special dedication to the millions of young people (and their families) yearning for a brighter, more peaceful and sustainable world in which they can live out their best lives.
Do you ever ask yourself if you could do more to address the horrible things happening in the world – such as the unthinkable atrocities in Ukraine or another mass shooting in our own country?
Sometimes my heart feels so heavy with sorrow and disbelief about how some humans treat other humans, I just want to crawl into a hole and escape the insanity. And I don’t think I’m alone– no matter your age or background.
After all, how can we justify such inhumanity?
How can we function day-to-day living our lives knowing the level of suffering that is simultaneously occurring? But how can we not– especially when we have little ones to feed and other vital responsibilities to uphold?
Remember– Just because we co-exist with people who perpetuate inhumane actions does not mean we accept it.
So what can we do?
In addition to making well-researched strategic donations (both in time and money) to the people and causes you care most about, your ability to practice Focused Action amidst often horrific headlines makes a HUGE difference in our world!
Let nature be your guide.
What can you design or focus on that will be a gift to the world? What new possibilities can you bring into existence to serve people and/or our planet? Who do you want to serve? What problems can you solve? What is that one next step you can take?
We really do need your ideas, solutions, and – well– love. Loving, focused action. Now.
Sending love and courage,
Amy
