Visionaries Light the Way
This month’s theme is HUMAN CONNECTION.
But what happens to connection when it feels like people and the planet are crumbling around us? An unimaginably deadly earthquake. Another tragic mass shooting. The list goes on…
Do you ever feel helpless in the face of these events? Or selfish for focusing on your own priorities while others suffer?
I hear you. I feel you. I acknowledge YOU.
Consider when you speak up and share your vision for a brighter world, you are lighting the path for others – especially those who may have lost their way.

What can you focus on? What is one action you can take – thinking globally and acting locally?
I am that big thinker who could, frankly, become regularly sidetracked by the state of our world.
I’ve learned it takes self-discipline and belief to operate as though you can (and do!) make a difference. I have trained myself to be focused in an unfocused world.
Let me take a moment to share what 5 things we at Visions Internships are focused on over the coming months:
- In December we completed our 5th VIP (Visions Internships Program) over two years - we are now responding to valuable feedback from client organizations and young professionals before our 2023 Summer VIP starts on Tuesday, May 23rd, woohoo!!
- On March 8th (International Women’s Day!) we’re kicking off a Free monthly program “Get Support Before U Submit” to help young professionals improve their resumes and cover letters before they submit online job applications. 2nd Wednesdays 12-1pm ET. Drop me an email if interested: [email protected].
- We’ve been selected to participate in the Venture Forum’s Five Minute Pitch contest April 11th - Free in-person event in Worcester, I would love to see you there! REGISTER
- We are developing corporate sponsorship packages to more easily partner with social impact companies interested in connecting with purpose-driven young professionals like those we serve.
- We will be hosting virtual and in-person career and leadership events beginning this fall!
As Helen Keller once stated, “I am only one, but still I am one. I cannot do everything, but still I can do something; and because I cannot do everything, I will not refuse to do something that I can do.”
May love always reign over fear. May we each be the source of love everywhere. May you trust that your very essence lights the way.
To Your Success,
Amy
